Center of Visual and Cultural Studies at European Humanities University supported by The Embassy of France in Belarus organized an international conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of French researcher, writer, theorist of film and photography Roland Barthes. A unique part of this conference became exhibition “Roland Barthes: Key Words”. Exposition was composed of EHU students' projects.

Audiovisual statements of young Belarusian authors re-actualized Roland Barthes’ ideas and covered such works as “The System of Fashion”, “The Third Meaning”, “Camera Lucida”, “Mythologies", "A Lovers’ Discourse: Fragments". During this experimental exhibition theoretical concepts presented in the form of art were actually transformed into independent audiovisual texts. It made the voice of the Author – with all specific to him intonations – audible, making at the same time his text palpable and language visible.
